On the third day in Sweden I went out for a drive….
Explored nature and decided to test my parking skills..
Sweden, Sweden, Sweden!!! June 29, 2006Posted by Aella in Sweden.
Came to Sweden yesterday and damn it’s good to be here. Spent the first day in a haze cus we arrived here in Karlskrona at 4.30 in the morning. Didn’t realise until today that I haven’t changed the time on my mobile. I was one hour ahead.
Feels a little strange to be here, hearing my own language and seeing people that look like me (well a bit then ok). It’s nice and quiet, no traffic, people are calm and it’s bloooody freezing. Went out yesterday in a small vest and guess if I was cold. Couldn’t imagine it would be this cold. It was 15 degrees when we arrived and during the days it has been about hmm 19 and windy. It’s ok though. Like this better than the sweaty 30 degrees in Beirut which I just left behind.
I really like that it’s so light here in the evening. I took this pic at 10pm last night. Aaaalet there be light!
Finished emptying the flat before I left hamdulilla. And god it felt good. So damn good! So now all there is left to do is to fix the visas which will be done once we get back to Beirut end of July. I don’t miss the heat of Beirut, nor the social restrictions but sure I do miss the flavours of my darling Beirut ;).

Yes, my header is done! Thanks to my dear friend I (owe u big time 😉 ). I am sooo pleased!
That's about it for today. Cooker lady said she would call me back in five which in Lebanese probably means five days or five years. Not sure yet since I didn't do the second part of my Lebanese course.
Today Sweden and England are playing and if we don't kick their butts we are so out. Buhu, they should seriously be fired if they don't win ( as if I really care). They have done what, one goal so far? Come on Slutan! My son is confident Sweden will win tonight due to his results in Pro Evolution Soccer game (playstation) where Sweden keeps winning for some reason.

The ugly blurry header is still here good people of the democracy of Internet.
It's Monday and what's left? The dining and bedroom people changed their minds so there's a problem to solve. Can't get hold of the washing machine and cooker lady so there's another one. Feeling brutally ill (and I don't care if you can't say that ok so sod off). Nothing makes me feel better right now. Of course alhamdulilla baby is fine.
Could it be the three day diet of Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC? Baby had enough? Do I detect subtle signs of anti-americanism(maybe baby knows he or she will be born in KSA)? Aaaah yadayadayada! Well Tiny surely didn't complain over the Lebanese Chopstix food last week.
I feel everything is so messy I don't know in or out but since I have turned a tad Lebanese (or Lebanses if you like) I feel things will be ok even if done last minute. Inshalla huh.
Only eight days to go until Sweden… (ostfrallor med räkost mmmmm)
There are a few things I want to do before I leave, just hope there will be time for them. Otherwise they will be done sooner or later when I come back.
Time for a bath.

Time is ticking. We have sold everything except the cooker and washing machine and people are coming to pick their things up this and next week. Master S won a spelling competition this week and has been exempted from math for the final exams. Great!
The fan on the laptop is driving me mad, I mean utterly and bloody mad! Just wanna throw it outside. Mr S has settled in Khobar now and is looking for a suitable compound. Hope he will find a good place soon so we won't have to think about that anymore.
Sickness is an all day thing. Not cool. What else, the AC's are leaving today but I still have a fan so inshalla we will be fine. Other than that. The flat is a mess, a total mess.
Not long to go until we are heading for Sweden now!!
Bye, bye hubby :( June 3, 2006Posted by Aella in Beirut.

Today Mr S has left for Dubai. He will spend one week there for introduction and training and then go to Khobar. We probably wont see each other until the end of July. Feeling sad. And sick from the pregnancy. Hope to God this sickness won't go on as long as last time.

Mr S has now left work. They had a farewell bash at Asia (some club in the same building as Buddah Bar in downtown) yesterday. Had a great time. Until my husbands boss decided to be all assy about our move and basically saying anything and everything on his mind.To me that is. Really pissed me off. For some reason he thought he has a say in our lives. And for some reason he thought I should have some kind of loyalty towards his company. Yeah whatever. Hate to spell it out but my loyalty in this case is located in my pocket.
We have just sold our car which is a relief. Not that we had a problem doing it but it’s good to have it done. Mr S is leaving in a few days….
We have also sold most of our furniture. Now there is only the dining room table, our bedroom set, cooker and washing machine yet to be sold. Will be really good once it is all done.
Can’t wait to go to Sweden. Will go by the end of June and stay a month. I really don’t care if the weather sucks, fine by me. We will come to Khobar end of July so we will have enough sunshine and heat (and humidity) to last us a lifetime. Really don’t like that part of the move. Guess I will just have to stay indoors til it gets a little better. Since most places has AC from what I understand, there will be plenty of places to spend my time in inshalla.
