Today I have finally, finally, finally, fiiinaaally (the Lebanese exaggeration bug has hit me!) got my drivers license! Went  to Ouzai at 6 am this morning with my instructor and after some waiting and watching people coming and going I did the extremly hard test (I'm not being sarcastic here!). So now all I need to do is to convince the Saudis that women CAN drive ;).

Didn't get around to fixing the header today and realised about 5 min ago that I suck at working in these picture programs. Totaly clueless when it comes to some things. Gonna have to ask for some assistance.

Just killed a bastard mosquito. She ain't gonna ruin my sleep tonight, that's for sure.

Been tearing my hair out to put up a new header the last few hours. Received help from the Sunburntkamel. Big time thanks. Now perhaps I should work on getting rid of the blurriness of the pics and a few more details. Aaaah naaa I will go to sleep instead.  Will do it another day.

Ok, so we decided to sell most of our furniture. We will only bring a few things like the crib and some other small things. I hope the furniture in our new home will be hmm nice. In any case, IKEA will open in Al Khobar next year so that will solve any problem. I can just imagine a Swedish style home in the middle of the desert!

Will I be able to get my Lebanese drivers license before we go? Inshalla. I know women are forbidden to drive in Saudi Arabia but I still want it. A seriously sick law by the way. Funny, but not long ago I met two Saudi women that thought this law was good. I didn't understand why though. The car of today I would say is equivalent to the horse of the past, a mean of transport in other words and as far as I know learning to ride a horse is sunnah for all muslims, man and woman. Did I totaly misunderstand all of this or doesn't this mean that they are stopping women from following sunni tradition?

We have been busy with family matters lately so we haven't been able to concentrate on our move but now it's time to do it. My husband will check out schools and compounds once he goes there so there isn't much to do about that now. Time is ticking fast and he will probably go in about fourteen days. And we have one millions things to do it seems.

We haven't been able to decide if we are going to rent an unfurnished or furnished place. Probably furnished eventhough we would prefer unfurnished. The problem is not knowing how big our new home will be. Will miss the sofas if we get rid of them 😦 . It will be a pain to get rid of all our furniture but it will inshalla go fast. A list of furniture and household appliances has been made so it's ready once we make a decision…
